Carlos Costly had a hat trick and Jerry Bengston added two goals.
Clive Murray made history for Grenada in the 18th minute, when he put back the rebound of his own strike past Guatemalan keeper Noel Valladares to make it a 1-0 game. But Honduras would bounce back to put them away 7-1.
In the 25th minute and on what was close to being an offside play, Honduran Jerry Bengston found himself all alone in the box, he ran away from the keeper, and put it into the net.
Just two minutes later, the Honduran fans in the Miami crowd went wild as Carlos Costly scored on a counterattack to put the score at 2-1. Bengston struck again at minute 36 on a play that really could have been stopped by the keeper, as he put in a goal from about 10 feet out.
Carlos Costly added to the score at the 67th and 77th minutes. Walter Martinez put the final nail on the coffin at the 88th minute, and Alfredo Mejía threw sand over it with the seventh goal in stoppage time.
Honduras played again without injured veteran midfielder Wilson Palacios.
Grenada is now 0-1-1 in this Gold Cup, with one point, while Honduras improved to 1-0-1, with four points.
Grenada will face Guatemala on June 13, while Honduras will face first-place Jamaica.
