After failing to qualify for the London 2012 Olympics in the Baku, Mexico's tae-kwon-do coach Jose Luis Onofre said he is confident the team will get the goal done in the Preolympic events that will take place in Queretaro.

After arriving to Mexico City, Onofre did not consider the performance of the four athletes as a failure.

"We knew it was going to be very difficult to qualify in the PreOlympics in Baku, but in Queretaro we are confident that Janet Alegria and Erick Osornio classify for the 2012 Olympics,¿ Onofre declared.

"We have to remember that the last time we competed there we got three spots for an Olympics," he added.

As far as the upcoming Pan American games in Guadalajara, Onofre said that Mexico has a great chance to win gold in tae-kwon-do.
