World champion and Olympian medal-winner Paola Espinosa triumphed on Sunday in the 10 meter individual dive, on the last day of the Spring National Championship in Mexico City. She was among the 13 divers who won a pass to the Word Swimming Championship in Shanghai, China, which will take place July 16-31.

Espinosa showed her quality by getting 341.75 points after five jumps, with marks ranging from 8 to 8.5 on each jump.

"I felt very good out there, very relaxed on the platform," Espinosa said.

"I already have my four tickets to the world championship. I was a challenge doing my four events in three days, but finally everything came out well."

Espinosa already is mentally prepared for China. The goal there will be to have great performances on the road to the Pan American Games and the London Olympics.

"At the championship you can all expect me to be well prepared, better physically," she predicted.

"The level of competition has increased greatly in the world. In Shanghai I hope to be able to gain my spot for the Olympic Games and the Pan American Games."
