Antonio Vespucio Liberti Stadium is one of the most significant in Argentina along with “La Bombonera” stadium. The Monumental has the highest capacity in Argentina. It has room for 70,000 people and it is the eighth largest stadium in the Americas.

It was opened on May 25, 1938 and was named after a president who decided to build the stadium. The total length of Monumental’s stands exceeds 70 kilometers.

Copa América’s final will be held at this stadium. It hosted a match of this kind in 1987, when Chile and Uruguay faced off for the title. Previously, Argentina and Netherlands played a crucial match here in the 1978 World Cup.
